J. Lee Stringfellow, M.D.
West Georgia Internal Medicine, P.C. was founded in 1983 by J. Lee Stringfellow, M.D. Graduating Suma Cum Laude with a BS in Biology from Georgia Southwestern in Americus, Georgia, he attended Medical School at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He continued there with his residency and internship, and post graduate training. He has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1983. Dr. Lee Stringfellow is the foundation around which West Georgia Internal Medicine standards are set.

Kevin D. Webster, M.D.
In 1996, Kevin D. Webster, MD arrived on staff to cover the "growth spurt" as the WGIM patient base grew. Kevin attended the Medical College of Georgia and Augusta College in Augusta. Moving on to Macon, Georgia, Kevin completed his internship and residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Currently, Dr. Kevin Webster is a member of MAG, ACP-ASIM and a Diplomat on the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Simone H. Berard, M.D.
Simone Berard, M.D., joined West Georgia Internal Medicine in 1998. She attended Mercer University School of Medicine graduating in 1993. Her intern year and her first year of residency were completed at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in 1995. She finished her residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, in 1996 and stayed to enjoy a two year teaching appointment with Wake Forest University School of Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine and Gerontology.
Dr. Berard is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Medical Association of Georgia. She lives in Carrollton, Georgia, with her husband, Bill, and their two children.

William R. Berard, M.D., Pharm.D.
William R. Berard, M.D. Pharm.D., joined West Georgia Internal Medicine in 1998 and became a full partner in 2001. Following college, he attended Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy and graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Pharmacy in 1991. He then attended Mercer University School of Medicine where he was the recipient of the Basic Science Award for Academic Excellence, elected into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and graduated at the top of his class in 1995.
Dr. Berard completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine At Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC in 1998. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the American College of Physicians. He lives in Carrollton, Georgia, with his wife, Simone, and their two children.

Joanne Gaw, M.D.
Welcomed to the WGIM family in November 2003 is Joanne Gaw, MD. Graduated Magna cum laude in 1996 from the University of South Florida with a BS in Biology, Dr. Gaw then moved on to the University of Miami School of Medicine to gain her doctorate in 2000. Yale-New Haven Hospital in CT became her home from 2000 - 2003 to complete her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine. Dr. Gaw is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians
